Importing the classification file

Now that you have created your classification file, you can import it into Classified.

Importing a classification file

To import, simply choose the 'Import Classification' option from the File menu.

If Classified encounters any errors, a message will tell you what the error is, and on which line it occurs. The online help contains a detailed description of the correct file format.

As soon as the import is complete, Classified displays the category names on screen - one button for each category. Classified displays the categories from left to right, then top to bottom, as it encounters them in the classification file.

Classified checks to see whether you have previously used a classification scheme with the same name. If so, Classified asks whether you want to overwrite (delete) any existing results, or append to them. If you are unsure, choose 'Append'.
