Usability Resources > 'Classified'

Running the evaluation session

To begin an evaluation session, simply choose the 'Start Test' option from the Test menu.

Classified prompts you to specify a participant number.

Classified always suggests the next number, but you can enter any number you like. It is possible to enter duplicate numbers. However, be careful if you do so, since the results file will contain two sets of data for the same participant number.

As soon as you specify the number, Classified randomises all items, and then presents the first one near the top of the screen. The participant can click on any category button, and Classified displays a message indicating whether the item is found.

'Correct' notification Participants can make three attempts to locate each item. After three attempts, Classified displays a message and moves on to the next item.

The progress bar at the top of the screen provides an indication of how many items remain.

Once all items have been presented, you can immediately repeat the process with the next participant.

To stop the test at any time, choose the 'Stop Test' option from the Test menu.
